Who is Auntie Jemimah
South B is not your typical hood. The likes of I, Auntie Jemimah –rich, married to a surgeon and blessed with two kids who are studying abroad- are who you find living in such hoods. Auntie Jemimah takes the character of your typical Kikuyu rich women who hail from the village but refuse to be humbled by their background. When she visits the village for a wedding, dowry or burial, she considers herself best placed to run things constantly reminding the village people there is life past the river they’ve known.
Whereas Auntie Jemimah in her gentle majesty and modest pride is character created and well played by Wangari Nguri. Wangari is not your typical Kenyan girl. She loves her jeans and sneakers but will rock a suit just as fine. Wangari, an accountant by profession- when we say I was lost but now am found, this here is what we mean. Wangari is a happy person and passionate about spreading the good happy mood. She is in her right place now.

Auntie Jemimah is your perfect MC if you have a wedding or event coming up. BE WARNED though; she will not take blame for your aching ribs.
Auntie is also a voice over artist and an aspiring radio host. You can currently catch her bashing Kikuyu men on her segment on Gukena FM even as she discusses other daily issues.
